What we do in this class

This is a fun, hands-on class where you (or your child) can:

• Bring along a project you’ve already started or

• Begin a brand new artwork with guidance from Lilia

You’ll be gently guided through innovative mixed media techniques so you can experiment, explore and build your confidence.

We’ll look at how to:

• Layer different materials to create interesting textures

• Mix drawing, painting, collage and found objects in one piece

• Use colour and contrast to make your work stand out

• Finish and present your artwork so it feels “complete”

Every class is tailor-made to the student, so no two projects look the same.

What you’ll explore

Depending on your interests and age, you might experiment with:

• Acrylic paint and inks

• Collage with magazines and patterned papers

• Textured mediums (sand, modelling paste, gels)

• Fabric, lace, ribbons and threads

• Oil pastels, soft pastels and watercolour pencils

• Stamping, stencilling and simple printmaking

• Found objects (buttons, leaves, tags, etc.)

You can work on:

• Abstract, expressive artworks

• Mixed media landscapes

• Imaginative creatures and characters

• Decorative panels for your room or home

• Art journal pages and small studies
